After 4 days in Dusseldorf, the Occuity Team is back in the United Kingdom following a successful week at MEDICA, the world’s leading international trade show for the medical sector. Occuity was exhibiting as part of the Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI), the UK’s leading industry association for health technology. Despite the pandemic still having its effects on the number of attendees and exhibitors, MEDICA still attracted 46,000 visitors from over 150 countries who were all in good spirits and eager to find out more about the latest MedTech on the market.
The trade fair was not just an opportunity for our senior leadership team to share and discuss our future product pipeline with prospective buyers and distributors in the HealthTech industry but more excitingly it was a chance to showcase and allow attendees to get hands-on with the Occuity PM1 Pachymeter, the world's first handheld, non-contact, optical pachymeter.
Occuity CEO and Co-founder Dr. Dan Daly comments: “It was great to be alongside other HealthTech companies and be given the opportunity not only to showcase our innovative technology but to also strengthen relationships and be part of face-to-face conversations once again following what has been a challenging year for business, with the uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Alongside Dan, those who attended the trade fair were Robin Taylor our Co-founder and CTO as well as our COO, Mark Jenkins. Our commercial director Daniel Quirke and International Sales Director, Mike Riley were also present and connected with a number of potential buyers and distributors, who were all interested in the unique capabilities of the PM1.
All in all, it was a successful trade fair for Occuity and we look forward to further building all the connections we made during the four days in the coming weeks and months.
Our next trade fair will be 100% Optical in London where we will be showcasing the PM1 pachymeter for the first time in the UK and discussing our exciting pipeline of ophthalmic products.
