His enthusiasm for pushing the boundaries of healthcare technology aligns seamlessly with Occuity's mission. As he steps into this role, Anish is poised to contribute his expertise and energy to shape the development and design of Occuity's innovative products.
We had a chance to catch up with Anish and reflect on his experiences being part of the engineering team at Occuity and what project excites him the most.
How did you get involved in Occuity and why did you feel it was the right thing for you?
After having studied medical engineering I looked for companies offering a well-rounded engineering role which is how I came across Occuity. After reading more about the company and how they wanted to create innovative accessible products I realised their values resonated with me. During my interview, I had the chance to see and hear about some of the remarkable screening and monitoring devices from the brilliant senior engineers which really excited me. Having seen the products and met the people behind them I knew this was where I could thrive and reach my potential by helping bring these amazing medical devices to market.
What is your position at Occuity and why is your role important?
I am currently a Junior Engineer, part of the development and design team at Occuity.
In the short time I have been in this role I have had the opportunity to be hands-on, testing a potential manufacturing method for the PM1 and even helping develop a potential product to help screen and monitor for diabetes. I have enjoyed putting my abilities as a medical engineer into action whilst developing a new set of skills at Occuity to further help develop and bring these devices to fruition.
What excites you the most about your job and Occuity?
I am very enthusiastic to be part of creating and helping bring Occuity’s extraordinary line of products to the mainstream healthcare scene. The novel approach to screening and monitoring diseases using the eye as the window to one’s well-being is exciting. I look forward to learning more on the job and applying a range of skills to contribute to all future projects as I continue down my path as a medical engineer.
What do you think Occuity’s future will look like?
I can see Occuity having a promising future with its innovative and pioneering approach to healthcare. I am delighted to have this opportunity to contribute to and be a part of this journey at Occuity.
